Another Ban

After prepaid ban Government may decide to ban winters
The Government of India may soon decide to ban winters in Kashmir, sources in the Home Ministry said. The Government believes that winters are a threat to national security. Kashmiri’s often wear pheran in winters; recently a foreign terrorist was caught hiding a T90 tank under the pheran. Normally Kashmiri’s also carry a kangri, hidden inside the pheran which is also a potential weapon said to have killed many security forces during peaceful protests. Highly placed sources in the Home Ministry confirmed such a ban is under consideration and the Government will issue a notification sooner than later.
Such a ban may have a drastic effect on the fragile political environment of Kashmir. Kids are aghast, they fear that with no winters there would be no winter vacations, “ Winter vacations are a time of fun for children like us”, said a school boy with a large bag hanging from his back, “ We hate you PC, #@%$ * &^%%   !@#$$$”, he said some word which amazed me, but I cannot reproduce them here, “#@&$   &^%%” he added.
The harrisa-wallas are also seen to be concerned about the outcome of the ban. Their business season starts during late autumn till early spring with peak demand during the chillai-kalan.
Though some sections of the society welcomed the ban, but there is a widespread anger against the ban.
P.S.:- Please join a protest campaign to stop this ban. Click here
