  • Implantation outside uterus; mid-Fallopian tube most common site
  • S&S: Early signs may be obscure; spotting after 1–2 missed periods;
sudden, knife like right or left lower abdominal pain radiating to shoulder (tube rupture); rigid abdomen; signs and symptoms of shock with obscured hemorrhage

Nursing Assessment & Treatment

Nurse Assess the signs and symptoms, VS for shock, pain pattern, anxiety; give transfusions and pain medicine; give RhoGAM to Rh negative patient if appropriate; prepare for repair or removal of tube according to condition.
