Located in the Khaplu, a district of Gilgit-Baltistan this mosque is known as oldest mosque of the Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan as well. The construction of the mosque dates back to 1370 AD. The foundation of the mosque was laid down by a Sofi, Mir Syed Ali Hamdani who by his preach and deeds, converted the people to Islam. Before his arrival the region was mostly inhabited by the non Muslims.
The mosque has a unique architecture depicting the Tibetan, Iranian and Mughal reigns architecture. Because of its unique architecture the mosque is visited by the number of the visitors.
