In occupied Kashmir, Mohammad Amin Khan, father of Mohammad Inayatullah Khan, a 10th class student, who was martyred by Indian troops, has said that his son sustained critical injuries after being beaten with gun butts and bullet shot.
Muhammad Khan, resident of Suleiman Tang Dalgate in Srinagar, talking to the newsmen, said that Inayat, 17, was shot at his thigh by the troops and trampled under a vehicle at Koker Bazar Chowk on Friday and later succumbed to his injuries at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar.
He said that the blue marks were visible all over the body of his son. "Inayat was a lively boy who liked new things. He had recently passed matriculation examination,” he added.
On Friday, he said, Inayat bathed in the morning and joined the congregation prayers in the local mosque. “After prayers, he left home to attend the computer institute in Lal Chowk. But at around 4:00 p.m. we received a telephone call that he has been shot by the troops,” he maintained.
Sobbing with grief, Tasleema, Inayat’s mother, said, “The troops killed my innocent son without any crime.”
The doctors, who attended on Inayat in the hospital, confirmed that he died as a result of collection of blood in his abdomen and chest. “His rib cage was fractured and he had suffered multiple injuries on his body. The deceased youth had also received bullet injury on his thigh,” they said.
The Medical superintendent of the hospital, Syed Amin Tabish said the fracture that Inayat had suffered could have been caused by beating, stampede or due to hitting by light vehicle.
